March has arrived, and with it comes one of the most important months in the endometriosis awareness campaign: Endometriosis Awareness Month.

During Endometriosis Awareness month: March 1 to March 31, we celebrate our communities’ hard work advocating for improved access to diagnosis and treatments dedicated to those living with endometriosis. Across all corners of this planet – from gynecological offices in urban areas to rural villages closer than ever before – collective efforts have been made toward therapeutic gains regardless of geography or resources so that no woman is overlooked. This month is an opportunity for education, understanding and community-building as every voice matters when standing up against this often misunderstood disorder.

Endometriosis is a chronic disorder that affects an estimated 10 percent of women of reproductive age. It occurs when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it, often leading to debilitating pain and other complications. This month we are focusing on educating people about the symptoms and risk factors for endometriosis so that more women can get a diagnosis early on, receive appropriate treatment and manage their condition effectively.

We invite you to join us in raising endometriosis awareness and advocating for high-quality medical care for those living with the condition.

Here are some ways to get involved:

  1. Educate yourself and others about the signs and symptoms of endometriosis
  2. Make a donation to organizations that advocate for women with endometriosis
  3. Attend an EndoMarch event to show your support
  4. Share your story with others to help spread awareness
  5. Reach out to your local representatives and ask them to support legislation that increases access to endometriosis care.

Let’s work together to create a world in which all women have access to the care they need for their endometriosis this Endometriosis Awareness Month!

Together we can make a difference!
